LESS SWITCHING. MORE THINKING.

Put it down.
Pick up where you left off.

Your notes shouldn't become another thing to manage. SideNote gives them a place, then gets out of your way.

than just words.

Some things are easier to show. Snip a part of your screen, keep it in a note, and carry on.

Screen snips land in a pinned note. Drag the image into another app, copy it, or save it to Pictures.

Your notes, your colors.

Start with a calm black theme. Choose from 17 colors to make a reminder, a project, or a fleeting idea easy to spot.

Made to fit your space.

Resize a note and the text wraps with it. Click away and the top bar shrinks. Move the dock to the monitor you use.

BEFORE YOU MAKE A NOTE

A few good
questions.

Is it really free?

Yes. Download the full Windows app for free. There is no trial timer, paid tier, subscription, or account to create.

What happens when I close a note?

The × button sends it back to its dock entry. Your text and snips stay in the note. To delete it, hover over its dock chip, click the red bin, and confirm.

Where are my notes saved?

On your computer, in your SideNote app-data folder. Open Settings → Your notes file → Show to find and back up the file. Notes don’t automatically sync between computers.

Which computers does it work on?

SideNote is a desktop app for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. This download is not an Android, Mac, or browser app.

How do I install it?

Download and open the Windows installer, then follow the setup steps. SideNote starts when setup finishes and adds a desktop shortcut. The installer is currently unsigned, so Windows may display a publisher warning.
